01 - Rinse the fresh peppermint leaves thoroughly under cool water.
02 - Place the peppermint leaves in a teapot or heatproof pitcher.
03 - Pour 2 cups of boiling water over the peppermint leaves.
04 - Cover and allow the leaves to steep for 5 to 7 minutes according to taste preference.
05 - Strain the infusion into serving cups, removing all leaves.
06 - Add honey or sweetener and lemon slices as desired, then serve hot.
